Message for 春雨直播app students: Reduction of the 春雨直播app Activity Restrictions Index Level to Level S

May 8, 2023

To all students of the University of Tokyo:

It is a month since the start of the new academic year and I am sure that everyone is working hard with their studies, research and various activities with a renewed spirit. Particularly, we hope that the new first-year students have made a start that is full of hope.
The Government of Japan has made the decision to position the novel coronavirus infection as a Category V Infectious Disease under the Infectious Disease Control Law, as they determined that it no longer comes under the category of Pandemic Influenza (Novel Influenza or Re-emerging Influenza).
In response to this, the University has decided to reduce its Activity Restrictions Index Level from Level A to Level S from Monday, 8 May 2023.

Accordingly, the policy on extracurricular activities at Level A will no longer apply.

Policy of Extracurricular Activities on the Activity Restriction Level A

It has been three years and four months since the first case of novel coronavirus infection was identified in Japan in January 2020. In order to maintain a campus where all of you can participate safely, the University has taken various measures, drawing on the collective wisdom of the University. We would like to thank all our students for complying with the infection prevention measures and continuing their activities despite the difficult circumstances.

However, the novel coronavirus infection has not disappeared, and it remains unpredictable. In order for everyone to continue with their activities with peace of mind, it is essential that each and every one of you continue following the infection control measures voluntarily.

The following measures to prevent future infections are summarized below and should be referred to as appropriate.

We would like to thank you all for your continued understanding and cooperation.
