匿名化された携帯電話の位置ログデータを用いて、時系列を持った大規模人口統計データを開発。また当該データをinteroperableに利用できるクラウドプラットフォームの開発を行っている。 人口統計は様々な分野における政策立案や事業計画等で利用される、国や地域の基本となるデータであるが、その収集には莫大な時間と財政コストを要する。当プロジェクトでは、世界共通のフォーマットで蓄積されている携帯電話ログデータとオープンデータを活用して、携帯電話データのある国や地域であればそこでも再現可能で、従来の手法より飛躍的に低予算（1%以下）で時系列を持った人口統計を開発する手法を開発している。 2017年にマラリア撲滅に貢献する革新的なプロジェクトとしてゲイツ財団（Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation）のGrand Challenge Explorationsを受賞（マラリア部門：10/700+、全プロジェクト28/1500+）、またSDGsのGoal1と 11の到達度を測る指標開発に貢献するプロジェクトとして国連基金と世界銀行のイニシアチブGPSDD（Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data）の10 Innovative Projects（10/400+）に選出され、モザンビークとスリランカで助成を受け事業を展開している。
