Q. Is it acceptable to depart from a location other than Tokyo, such as during study abroad or while staying overseas, and travel directly to the program?
A. As stated in the application guidelines, participants are required to use the flight designated by the International Education Promotion Group, and the flights will depart from and arrive in Tokyo. Therefore, it is not possible to depart from a location other than Tokyo and travel directly to the program. This is due to preparation and safety management considerations. We appreciate your understanding. Additionally, participation in the orientation held in Tokyo is mandatory. Please note that even if the above conditions are met, faculties or graduate schools may have restrictions on participating in other programs while studying abroad, so please also check with your faculty or graduate school before applying.
