AUA Lecture Series 2021: Young Asian Economists

Overview

´ºÓêÖ±²¥app accepts applications from students, who wish to participate in the following program organized by AUA£¨Asian Universities Alliance). The AUA Secretariat proposes “The challenges and opportunities of Asian economies in the COVID-19 and post COVID-19 era” as a theme.The duration of the lecture series is 15 weeks, one lecture per week. See the attachment "Program Outline" for the details of the program content and the schedule.

(1) Both undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled as full-time students. Students from any field of study can apply.
(2) Make sure that the program do not interfere with your Semester courses (Completion of more than 80% of the lectures and academic assignments is required for this program)
(3) Students who already have a supervisor or equivalent at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app must notify them of their application to the program in advance and receive approval from the supervisor (the date they received approval in the application on UTAS is required) 
(4) Fulfill all the requirement mandated by AUA such as internet access, Zoom and ClassIn account (both account information are required in the application on UTAS)
(5) Students who can submit academic assignments
(6) Students who have an interest in the challenges and opportunities of Asian economies

Deadline£ºNoon of August 17, 2021 (Please apply via UTAS by this date and time)
Program Cost£ºNo fee needed if you are nominated by ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app and selected by AUA
Notes£ºThe lectures are designed so that those who are interested but have no formal education in economics can understand. The students can choose not to turn on the camera when recording. AUA may only record the part A, so students are welcome to turn on the camera and interact with professors and other participants without being recorded (part B).

Make sure to complete the online application via before the deadline. Before applying, please read 'Program Outline' carefully. Please follow the instructions given in “Applying for Study Abroad Programs via UTAS”and apply from the “Study Abroad” tab on the Academic Affairs System website (UTAS, ITC-LMS). Also, please read the instructions in each section on UTAS application form carefully and follow the instructions.

Notes

?Before applying, applicants must make sure that the programs do not interfere with their semester courses since no consideration may be made for attending the program and may make study plan on its own responsibility.
?Participants must fully comprehend the purposes of the programs and strive to complete the program courses while achieving a high level of academic performance.
?Participants must be aware that they are representatives of the University, and thus must comply with the laws, regulations, rules and manners of their host universities and countries.
?Participants must submit a report (google form will be sent out to the participants later) to the International Exchange Group, after completing program.
