We seek to understand medical conditions and pathologies from a molecular, cellular, individual and group level, as well as to understand the mechanisms behind diseases. At the same time, we are contributing to the advancement of life sciences by understanding how diseases corrupt the phenomena of life. We also educate researchers who will help develop new analysis methods and treatments based on research results. Through these activities we hope to train international leaders with brilliant academic minds, well-developed analytical techniques and creative research abilities in the field of internal medicine.

Department of Reproductive, Developmental and Aging Sciences
The Department of Reproductive, Developmental and Aging Sciences is divided into ten fields: Reproductive Endocrinology; Gynecological Oncology; Perinatal Medicine; Molecular Cellular Reproductive Medicine; Pediatrics; Developmental Pediatrics; Pediatric Surgery; Pediatric Oncology; Geriatrics; and Aging Research. Our goal is to produce independent researchers in each of these fields, provide a shared base in uncovering the causes and pathological conditions of diseases in humans, and develop treatment methods from a reproductive, developmental and gerontological stance, in that chronological order.

Department of Health Sciences and Nursing
The Department of Health Sciences and Nursing consists of coursework on nursing (preventative nursing and clinical nursing lectures) and health science. We promote research on developmental support and the promotion of health, the prevention of and recovery from disease, and the creation of supportive environments for each stage of the life cycle, from prenatal to the autumn years. At the same time, we research these topics and educate teachers, researchers and highly skilled professionals who can further improve on them by adding their own contributions.
