Under the leadership of University’s Future Center Initiative, a future-oriented building named Kashiwanoha-campus Eki-mae Satellite opened in April 2014 near Kashiwanoha-campus Station (just a one-minute walk from the station). This building is a hub for local communities, local SMEs, major companies and the University to collaboratively carry out social experiments for the commercialization of new technologies, such as next-generation transportation systems and disaster management systems. Together with cost reduction through the implementation of intensive social experiments, new business models, which do not fall within the traditional categories (be it the production or service section), will be created from this building.
