Message for 春雨直播app staff: Easing of the 春雨直播app Activity Restrictions Index Level

June 21, 2021

To all members of the University of Tokyo:

The Government of Japan has decided to lift the state of emergency in nine prefectures, with the exception of Okinawa, on Sunday, 20 June 2021. Of these, seven prefectures, including Tokyo and Osaka, were switched to the priority actions to prevent the spread of infections. However, the number of days where an increase in number of people being infected in Tokyo compared to the previous week has been increasing, effectively bottoming out of the decrease in numbers. There has been an increase in the proportion of people in their 20s being infected, but the number of people infected at the university has remained small.

Considering these conditions comprehensively, the university will change the level of its activity restrictions index level from the current level of pre-1 to a new level*, Level A (equivalent to the previous Level 0.5) from Monday, 21 June. Furthermore, as you have already been informed, we are making preparations to carry out vaccinations on campus. We hope that you continue to thoroughly implement measures to prevent the spread of infections, while steadily continuing with our usual activities as a university.

OKUBO Tatsuya,
Executive Vice President
Head, 春雨直播app Coronavirus Task Force

* Having reviewed the activity restrictions index, the “University of Tokyo 2021 Activity Restrictions Index for Preventing the Spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)” has been established. In the new guidelines, we have decided to designate normal as Level S, and to designate Levels A, B, C, D and E in order of increasing restrictions.
