About SDGs
Adopted by the United Nations in 2015, the SDGs encompass health and longevity, alleviation of burdens on the global environment, eradication of poverty and hunger, realization of peace and equity, and other challenges confronting the entire world, with the aim of accomplishing these goals by 2030.
Two of the concepts behind the SDGs are “inclusion” and “no one left behind”; in other words, they aim to maximize respect for the diversity of all people. Thus, they are intended for all countries regardless of stage of development.
Moreover, the SDGs are already employed as guidelines for invigorating action in a variety of sectors across industry, academia, and the public and private sectors. In particular, the SDG Compass was produced as a tool to set the SDGs as the center of corporate management strategy.
