Associate Professor Shibuya appointed as Co-chair for the World Data System Early Career Researcher Network

Associate Professor Yuya Shibuya (Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies / CSIS) has been appointed Co-chair of the World Data System (WDS) Early Career Researcher Network (ECR-Network). The WDS is an affiliated organization of the International Council for Science, which aims to strengthen the capabilities, impact and sustainability of data repositories and data services around the world. The ECR-Network aims to connect ECRs across scientific communities and disciplines to foster collaboration and active participation in developing innovative approaches to data integration and sharing.Three co-chairs are elected every three years, and they are expected to be actively involved in their roles, which include promoting the network through community newsletters and social media, participating in WDS and external events, and organizing meetings among the Co-chairs and advisory board members. Associate Prof. Shibuya will serve as Co-chair from 2025 to 2028.
