GraSPP 20th Anniversary Symposium on EBPM and Politics

The Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP) was established in 2004, and to commemorate our 20th anniversary this year and to wish for the further development of the public policy field, we will hold a public symposium on Evidence-Based Policy Making (EBPM) and Politics.
In the public policy field, the policy-making process has changed dramatically over the past 20 years, and there is a growing trend to promote EBPM based on rational evidence after clarifying policy objectives, rather than relying on ad hoc episodes in policy planning.
In this symposium, in addition to our faculty members, we will have speakers from the current members of the Diet (Japanese parliament) to look at the role that our graduate school should play in policy-making in the midst of these changing trends.
