Fund to Support Female Researchers with their Research Skills Training

Researchers eligible for expenses support for female researchers who are active in presenting their research results externally

Eligible persons

The applicant must meet the following requirements and have submitted papers fulfilling the specified conditions.

(1) Full-time female researchers of the University of Tokyo (not a Fixed-term Part-time Project Staff) who fall into one of the following positions: (Project) Associate Professor (Project) Lecturer (Project) Research Associate Project Researcher

(2) Those who have been in their current position for less than five years as of 1 June 2024. However, this includes those who have been in their current position for less than five years, not counting any periods of maternity leave, childcare leave, time-off for family care and family care leave they may have taken while in that position.

*International academic journals are limited to those listed on the Web of Science, in principle. If you plan to publish your paper in other journals or publications, you need to outline the journal’s position.
*These are limited to papers, books and other publications written by the applicant as the principal author.
*If there are many applicants, younger researchers will be prioritized.
*If there are many applicants, those who have never received support of this program will be prioritized.

Amount of financial support

(Up to) 200, 000 yen

“Expenses to be covered”
Expenses which are directly required for the applicant’s research activities
E.g. Expenses for office equipment, consumable, travel, academic conference participation, personnel, honorarium, printing and bookbinding, etc.
“Expenses not to be covered”
Expenses which are not directly required for the applicant’s research activities
E.g. Expenses for meetings involving eating and drinking, etc.

Monday, May 27, 2024 to Friday, June 21, 2024*
