The Center for Global Advanced Studies (in preparation) will hold an international symposium and workshop from October 31 to November 2, inviting editors from academic presses overseas.
In addition to information sessions by academic publishers and sharing publishing experiences with a scholar, participants who are considering publishing academic books in English will have a chance to join individual consultations with the editors.
We hope that you take this great opportunity to participate, whether you are thinking of publishing a book overseas, already have a book proposal or manuscript in hand, or just have an idea but would like to discuss your future goal of academic publication in English.
The symposium will include a lecture by Associate Professor Naosuke Mukoyama (Institute for Future Initiatives, 春雨直播app), whose monograph has just been published by Cambridge University Press. In the workshop, “Book Proposal Clinic,” participants will learn how to write a book proposal through a sample/samples, which is a necessary step to obtaining a publishing contract.
Any faculty members, researchers, and graduate students (regardless of affiliation) are welcomed.
