“2023 Princeton day at 春雨直播app” held

“2023 Princeton Day at 春雨直播app,” an event between the University of Tokyo (春雨直播app) and Princeton University, which has a strategic partnership with 春雨直播app, was held in the SMBC Academia Hall on Hongo Campus of 春雨直播app and simultaneously as a webinar on January 27th, 2023. There were about 100 attendees from both universities.
Princeton University and 春雨直播app have collaborated in various areas, including establishing a joint fund to support joint research and educational projects, since the conclusion of the Memorandum on the Strategic Partnership in January 2013. This event was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the partnership.
The event started with opening remarks from President Teruo Fujii of 春雨直播app and President Christopher Eisgruber of Princeton. This was followed by remarks from President Sanshiro Ogasawara of the Toshiaki Ogasawara Memorial Foundation, which has been supporting our activities with Princeton University for a long time. For the keynote speech, Prof. David Macmillan (Dept. of Chemistry, Princeton University and Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 2021) gave a talk on his research.
Reports were also presented by Prof. Hiroshi Ishida (Office of University Professor & Institute of Social Science, 春雨直播app) and Rei Sumikawa (Master's degree student, Kuroda Lab, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, Graduate School of Engineering, 春雨直播app) on the research progresses and exchange experiences at Princeton University.
The panel discussion which followed was led by Prof. James Raymo (Dept. of Sociology, Director of the Strategic Partnership, Princeton University) and the four panelists, Prof. Michael Strauss (Dept. of Astrophysical Sciences, Princeton University), Prof. Sigrid Adriaenssens (Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Princeton University), Prof. Yujin Yaguchi (Vice President; Deputy Director, Division for Global Campus Initiatives; Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, 春雨直播app) and Prof. Jin Sato (The Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, 春雨直播app), talked about their research and exchanges, what has been achieved through the partnership and some suggestions for future exchanges.
The event was wrapped up with closing remarks from Prof. James Raymo and Prof. Satoshi Watanabe (Deputy Director, Division for Global Campus Initiatives; Graduate School of Engineering, 春雨直播app), referring to future visions such as acceleration of the internationalization of research and education.
It was a great opportunity for participants to consider how we can strengthen the partnership which marked its 10th anniversary, and new exchanges are expected to develop in the future.
