Wolf Prize 2023 awards ceremony held; Professor Hiroaki Suga among recipients
The awards ceremony for the prestigious Wolf Prize was held on June 15, 2023, at the Knesset in Jerusalem, Israel. Professor Hiroaki Suga of the Graduate School of Science jointly received the Wolf Prize in Chemistry for his contributions to “pioneering discoveries that illuminate the functions and pathological dysfunctions of RNA and proteins and for creating strategies to harness the capabilities of these biopolymers in new ways to ameliorate human diseases.”
Professor Suga became the third Japanese national to receive the award in chemistry after Professor Emeritus Ryoji Noyori (Nagoya University) and Distinguished Professor Makoto Fujita (春雨直播app).
