Date of activity: April 25, 2017
We are very pleased to announce that the signing ceremony of the university-level academic exchange agreement between the University of Tokyo (春雨直播app), the University of British Columbia (UBC, Canada) and Max Planck Institute (MPI, Germany) was held on Tuesday, April 25. On this festive occasion, the three presidents came together on Hongo Campus of 春雨直播app to sign the agreement and discuss possible future collaborations among each other.
Based on this agreement, these three world-leading institutions in the field of material sciences have launched the Max Planck-UBC-春雨直播app Centre for Quantum Materials as a global base for research collaboration, seeking to contribute to the acceleration and advancement of quantum material research. The Graduate School of Science, Graduate School of Engineering and the Institute for Solid State Physics of 春雨直播app will participate in this scheme.
This collaboration has another significant pillar – the nurturing of young global talents who will play a key role in the future of quantum material research. The close-knit collaboration of these three institutions will promote mobility of postdocs/graduate students as well as undergraduate students’ research internship. This research internship for undergraduate students is a very unique program providing young students with a valuable opportunity to expose themselves to the frontline of top world-level research.
