This book is based on a series of articles titled "Practical Q&A on Securities Regulation", which were originally published in Junkan Shoji Homu. The primary objective of these articles is to address complex and practically significant issues under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (FIEA). By incorporating administrative interpretations, such as guidelines and responses to public comments, the series aims to propose rational interpretations of the law and contribute to the further development of FIEA-related practice. This book compiles the articles, with additions and revisions, and organizes them systematically according to the structure of FIEA. Furthermore, it includes theoretical discussions by the author to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topics covered.
 
FIEA is amended almost annually, reflecting the rapid changes in markets and the broader economic and social environment. Innovations in information technology have led to the emergence of new financial services, resulting in the rise of novel legal issues. Addressing these issues requires a profound understanding of the current legal framework.
