´ºÓêÖ±²¥app held a seminar by the chief architect of Aadhaar, the similar system to My Number in Japan

On March 6, 2025, with the cooperation of Suzuki Motor Corporation and Next Bharat Ventures IFSC Private Limited, we held a seminar titled "Seminar on Journey of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure and its Future Vision organized by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Next Bharat Ventures IFSC Private Limited, and ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app" at our Hongo Campus. The seminar featured a lecture by Dr. Pramod Varma, the chief architect of India's Aadhaar system. The event was with overall moderation by Prof. Yuto Kitamura, Special Advisor to the President.

During the lecture, Mr. Kinji Saito, Counselor of Suzuki Motor Corporation, provided an overview of Aadhaar. Following this, Dr. Varma explained how the Aadhaar system, developed by volunteers commissioned by the government, was designed and disseminated to 1.4 billion Indian citizens, including those without bank accounts or official identification, in a country with 22 official languages.

In the Q&A session after the lecture, Dr. Varma, the session moderator Project Associate Professor Vorapong Suppakitpaisarn from Graduate School of Information Science and Technology of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app, and participating students engaged in a lively exchange of ideas. Additionally, Mr. Vipul Nath Jindal, CEO of Next Bharat Ventures IFSC Private Limited, gave a presentation on the growing India and corporate initiatives.

Through the presentations by the speakers, the passion of the Indian people towards realizing challenging projects was conveyed, making it a highly enthusiastic seminar.
