Asian University for Women (Bangladesh)* and the University of Tokyo will jointly host an online summer program focusing on gender and society!
Guided by a theme "VIsualizing gender", participants will learn about and employ the methodology of visual ethnography to increase their awareness of various gender issues in our everyday life. Participants from the University of Tokyo will attend this program in a designated classroom on Hongo campus and collaborate with participants from Asian University for Women via Zoom!
Specialized disciplinary knowledge on gender studies and practical skills in film making are not necessary. Students in any year, major, and gender are welcome.
This program is designed as part of the 春雨直播app Global Unit Courses and is implemented by the Go Global Gateway team. Upon completion of the program, participants will be awarded 1 "Global Unit" issued and accredited by the Division for Global Campus Initiatives.
*Asian University for Women is situated in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The university was established in 2008 to give first generation women, who are the first in their family to enroll at the university, educational opportunities and nurture their leadership. The university offers Liberal Arts curricula to women from 18 nations such as Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Syria.

August 1 (Mon) -8 (Mon), 2022 12:30 - 15:30 (JST)
*No lectures will be delivered on Day 7 (Sunday, August 7). Students can spend a day preparing for the final presentation if necessary.
