Exploring Aesthetics on Campus (ACUT Events 2024)

To consider what “aesthetics” are within our university’s education and research, and to study from an “inherent art” perspective Utokyo’s legacy and future orientation, we will hold the following three projects.

1. At the Telecommunication Equipment Building on the Hongo Campus, we will open a provisional art center titled “春雨直播app Art Center 01_ Sono-Aida” with the cooperation of art project Sono-Aida (Representative: Akira Fujimoto). At the same site, we will also have an artist-in-residence open to the public, and in addition to making artwork, we will broadcast talking events on site from 春雨直播app faculty and artists. (November 2024 through March 2025)
2. We will display a treehouse made by Katsuichi Kimura in front of Faculty of Engineering Building 1, have a concert by David Matthews on 12/2 (Monday), and starting off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 14:30 on 12/4 (Wednesday), we will make attempts at landscaping the campus. (December 2024 through January 2025)
3. On the , under the key phrase of “what are the aesthetics of a university,” we will post information including records of the talking events as well as the latest developments in campus landscaping and and art and science coordination. (October 2024 through March 2025)
